10 Riffs to Inspire and Encourage You on Your Journey
1. The grief journey is like running a marathon. You will get tired but those who keep running know where to put “tired” when it comes.
2. It’s not a grief race, it’s a grief journey. There isn’t winning but there is wandering and wondering.

4. Getting grief right is not as valuable as making progress.
5. Giving space to anxiety is time spent trying to control something out of your control. Time doing the hard work of grieving is what you can control.
6. You’re either waiting to heal or you’re taking action to put yourself in the place where you will find healing.
7. The story that will most change your life is the story you write.
8. Be suspicious of stages that are easy to track. Grief is never that easy.
9. Scratching an itch can give short-term pleasure, but applying the right medicine to heal the root cause brings longterm relief.
